Thornbury came away with 3 awards from the South West in Bloom presentation on 8th October. Thornbury in Bloom won GOLD and the Sargent Cup (category winners) and were awarded the Michael McGahey Trophy for outstanding community work. In addition, Thornbury Castle were awarded GOLD in the Business, Leisure and Tourism Category. Rock Street Garden was nominated for best Non Municipal garden and St Mary’s Churchyard was nominated for Best Native plants. This is an amazing set of results for the whole community and we now eagerly await the Britain in Bloom National Finals on 31st October so watch this space for hopefully more success!
